White villages of Axarquía
Cómpeta is one of the so-called white villages of Axarquía, small villages characterized by their white colors that are scattered throughout the mountains of the region.
By making a short route by car, you can get to know all the villages in the area such as Archez, Sayalonga, Canillas de Albaida, Salares, Canillas del Aceituno, Frigiliana or Vélez Málaga.
Málaga
Málaga is much more than sun and beach, the capital of the province also offers a wide cultural offer.
Among is most outstanding monuments, we find the Alcazaba, the Cathedral nicknamed "la manquita" because of one its tower was never built, the Gibralfaro Castle and the Roman Theater.
Moreover, Málaga also offers a wide variety of museums such as Picasso Museum, Carmen Thyssen Museum or the Pompidou Center.
Granada
Cómpeta is located halfway between Málaga and Granada therefore, we are an ideal base to also visit this fantastic city.
Everyone knows the magnificent Alhambra that will leave you speechless when you step into its gardens, but Granada has much more to offer such as its Cathedral, San Jerónimo´s Monastery or the famous Sacromonte neighborhood, the flamenco´s cradle.
Almería
One of the forgotten provinces of Andalusia, Almería is a two-hours drive away and is known for being a province of contrasts. Almería city is known for its monuments, but its province also offers exquisite nature, such as the only desert in Europe, the Tabernas Desert, known as the Hollywood of Europe since in the 60´s and the 70´s, all the Western movies were filmed here, or the Cabo de Gatas - Níjar Natural Park.
